WORK EXCHANGE ROLES AND DESCRIPTIONS

Setup / Teardown

  • Setup happens on Wednesday and includes supporting Nick Payton, the Ballroom Manager, with decorations, signage, chairs, etc.
  • Teardown happens after awards on Sunday and on Monday.
  • This role requires physical lifting.

Registration

  • Registration workers are the first faces attendees see. We need people who can make everyone feel welcome, are comfortable using a computer, are organized, and will adhere to procedures and answer questions – with a great smile! You will be working with Dani Mullin Darasz and Ward Roberts.
  • We ask individuals in this role to bring their own laptop.

Security/Ushers

  • Door Security individuals monitor proper wristbands for admission into the ballroom or workshops. Ushers assist people inside the ballroom with finding their seats. You will be working with Michael Eads.

Floor Sweepers

  • We need people who will sweep (quickly) the dance floor of costume debris for the Routine divisions.
  • This requires wearing formal clothing, preferably all black (no t-shirts or jeans). This is done in between each performance. You will be working stationed with the MC.
